South Worcestershire Division has a vacancy for a full-time Finance Officer based at Castle Street, Worcester. The role will be to provide an efficient and effective financial support service to the Division.
Applicants should have a formal qualification in the area of financial management (or be prepared to study to achieve this) along with experience of delivering a financial support service. Experience of management information systems and information technology application is essential and a proven ability to communicate in both written and oral format. You must also have extensive experience in a professional financial/administrative environment with proven ability of the audit process. You must demonstrate the ability to manage and administer budgets and have experience of handling cash.It would also be desirable that you understand Public Sector budgetary practices/processes, the role of the Police Authority and experience of managing a small team.
Interviews will be held week commencing Monday, 3rd December 2007.
