Case Director x2

37 hours per week. Hours are between 08.00 and 20.00 Monday to Friday.


Leading, directing, and developing Officers in the investigation of cases, you will be responsible for the gathering of evidence and the preparation of case papers in line with statutory requirements. Your responsibilities will also include the supervising of workloads, providing management information relating to performance, and keeping up to date with legislative changes. You will allocate cases to the appropriate Investigating Officer and act as the gate keeper for access to the Crown Prosecution Service to ensure appropriate cases are referred.

You will need to demonstrate experience of problem solving and decision making, together with attention to detail. You will have proven management experience with strong interpersonal skills to motivate and supervise a small team of police staff. You will have strong negotiating and influencing skills and have the ability to work to tight deadlines imposed by the Home Office. A legal background or experience of the Criminal Justice system would be desirable and have the ability to travel Force wide.
