Hours: 37 hours per week to be worked on a five week rotating shift pattern covering 7 days per week

You will take responsibility for the provision of a crime scene examination service to Police investigations through the supervision and management of divisionally based operational Crime Scene Investigation Staff.
Tasked with ensuring an efficient and effective quality service, you will seek to maximise primary detections from scientific evidence and carry out the role of Crime Scene Manager at major crime scenes.
As a fully qualified and experienced Crime Scene Investigator, you will have successfully completed the Initial Crime Scene Investigation course and Crime Scene Development course and either successfully completed the Crime Scene Manager's course or received a recommendation to attend the course.
A proven record of undertaking multiple scene examinations at both serious and major crime types is also essential. You will be a motivated individual with well-developed inter-personal and communication skills.
You will have an understanding of forensic science and its use within modern criminal investigations, legislation relating to Police investigations and crime scene examination and performance management. Participation in the stand by/call out rota and a full driving licence are also required.
Successful reserve applicants for the above post will be placed on a pass list for the same job, which may arise in other areas of the Force over the next 12 months.
