British Transport Police (BTP) is the national police force for Britain's rail network, providing a policing service to rail operators, their staff and passengers throughout England, Wales and Scotland.
This post is unique within the BTP as no other force has a national responsibility for offence reporting across England, Scotland and Wales.
You will be responsible for leading the Crime Recording Centre to provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient Crime Recording Service, ensuring the force meets all the necessary requirements concerning National Crime Recording Standards.
You will have excellent managerial and leadership skills, a proven record of managing large numbers of staff, proven experience of developing and implementing policy with an excellent knowledge of Home Office Crime Recording Standards and counting rules, National Incident Recording Standards and Police National Computer compliance.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at national level within a large team whilst developing a coherent and effective strategy.
