Our client is looking for someone who can work as a senior environmental enforcement officer, supervising a team of 2 enforcement officers and 2 dog wardens. The essential skills are as follows:
• Good communication both written and oral.
• Experience in dealing with complaints and enquiries from members of the public.
• Good management skills.
• The ability to grasp new concepts and legislation very quickly.
Whilst the following are not necessary, they may help in the final selection should you have any experience in them:
• Knowledge of the Cleaner Neighborhoods' Act 2004.
• Previous experience of dealing with elements of environmental crime.
• Policy making experience.
Your day to day duties will be as follows:
• Assist the management team with the set up and confirming of process and procedures.
• Buddy up with enforcment officers to offer guidance and assist with tackling dog fouling and litter dropping via the issue of Fixed Penalty Notices.
• Investigate into incidents of fly-tipping.
