Police National Computer (PNC) Phoenix Operator
Based in Hamilton, Leicester
£17,106 - £18,969, 37 hours per week including regular weekend working on a rota basis with additional remuneration.
To receive, interpret, investigate and process information and to accurately update the Police National Computer in a timely manner. To initiate enquiries with authorised agencies.
It is essential that applicants:
• Are educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language or demonstrate experience of working to the equivalent level of English Language;
• Have recent and extensive work experience of a clerical/admin nature where attention to detail and accuracy has been essential. (Attention to detail to be tested at interview);
• Demonstrate by example experience of using initiative in the work place to solve problems;
• Have worked in a confidential environment;
• Demonstrate by example experience of the use of a variety of computerised information systems: in particular databases, spreadsheets and word processing;
• Demonstrate by example experience of dealing with high volume search and retrieval of data;
• Demonstrate by example experience of working to strict deadlines;
• Demonstrate by example the ability to function as part of a larger team;
• Possess the ability to operate a keyboard at a speed and accuracy equivalent to 25 wpm (to be tested at interview).
