Budget Administrator – CID - Police Headquarters

£18,297 rising to £19,335 in two annual increments


HQ CID need a budget administrator to manage various budgets and associated systems and processes. Ideally, you will be AAT Qualified or studying for this qualification or equivalent experience, have experience working in a Financial role within a large organisation and have the ability to collate and research information in order to produce management reports regarding performance and where appropriate, make recommendations for improvements. You will be actively involved in the annual budget build.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, who can work as part of a team and also on their own; able to liaise with the Finance Department accordingly, including Year End, produce management reports on current budget status for Departmental Management and provide financial advice where appropriate.

The successful candidate will also supervise an assistant responsible for all purchasing within the department and authorise spending to agreed limits. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining detailed and thorough records in relation to departmental establishment and dealing with all movement of personnel, departmental growth and advising on current vacancy status and managing temporary cover
