Part-time Facilities Assistant

Central Division, Chelmsford.
Predominantly based at Chelmsford Police Station, you will provide caretaking, porterage and Health and Safety services to the division.
You will be required to carry out security procedures ensuring that all tasks and procedures are carried out in accordance with legislation and Essex Police policy.
Your duties will include the routine and non-routine opening of Police premises and grounds, provide clear access to buildings in the event of snow or minor flooding or similar emergency situations, monitor the standards of cleanliness of police premises/furnishings and general maintenance is reviewed and reported to the relevant supervisor.
You will undertake a range of decoration and repair of police premises and will be responsible for taking delivery of stores, material and other goods and conveying these to their points of distribution, and will assist with other related work, as required.
