You will support divisions and departments with the process of locally resolving complaints and assist in the production of complex investigation reports for submission to the Crown Prosecution Service and the Independent Police Complaints Commission together with liaising with representatives of other professional bodies and elected representatives.
Having carried out duties relevant to the post including evidence gathering and investigative experience, you will have knowledge of criminal law and police procedures. You will be able to prepare complex criminal prosecution files and statement taking and will have carried out interviews in line with the PEACE model. Keyboard experience and knowledge of computer applications is essential to this role.
You will be prepared to work outside normal office hours including evenings and weekends subject to operational demands.
