If you thought you knew about traffic wardens, think again...

Maybe you have never thought about becoming a traffic warden before. But if you are looking for a role with real variety, dealing with the public, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for. As well as enforcing traffic legislation, you will patrol the front of Stansted Airport, assisting the police in an environment where no two days are ever the same. You will also find yourself dealing with visitors from around the world, whether you are giving them directions, telling them where they can get a coffee or pointing out the nearest cashpoint.

It goes without saying that you will deal with a variety of people, so resilience and diplomacy are essential. At the same time, however, it is just as important that you are customer-focused, professional and approachable, and that you are equally comfortable with all kinds of people.
