Temporary Contract until 31st March 2009
£21,342 to £24,444/£25,248 pro rata/ per annum 27 hour week
(Appointment is normally at the start of the salary scale)
We are looking for a well-motivated self-starting individual to take a challenging and important investigative role within a nationally recognised team combating Anti-Social Behaviour in South Worcestershire.
The successful candidate should be educated to a 'A' Level standard including English or, BTEC National or, NVQ equivalent, or have significant relevant work experience. They should demonstrate effective numeracy, literacy and IT skills, and have the ability to accurately brief Senior Investigating Officer and other Police Officer verbally and in written form. They must have thorough working knowledge of PACE (Police And Criminal Evidence Act 1984) or the ability to quickly absorb knowledge. Significant experience of proven investigative skills is also required.
It is desirable that the candidate will have Forensic awareness, and has knowledge of evidential rules and continuity of evidence of exhibits. A working knowledge of the Criminal Justice System, or an ability to quickly develop an appreciation of that function, is desirable.
