Supervising a team of systems administrators working at the heart of a busy IT department. The team are responsible for the entire Windows and Unix infrastructure. Providing Incident, Problem, Configuration, Release, Availability and Capacity management for the Force’s Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure Services Department is responsible for over 3000 personal computers and laptops, 250 servers, LANs interconnected via the Force WAN and the administration and security of access for over 4000 users over 90 sites.
A Professional with experience of working within an IT technical discipline area with a broad range of experience and skills in a wide range of Information Technology Systems including Unix, Linux and Microsoft Windows.
ITIL Qualified to at least Foundation Level possessing a foundation certificate in IT Service Management and hold a management qualification to at least Introductory Certificate in First Line Management or equivalent.
Applicants should possess a full clean driving licence and be willing to use own vehicle, authorised police vehicles or hire vehicles in the course of duties.
