G4S Police Recruit are looking for an individual to work as a floating Station Enquiry Clerk.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To cover absence of shift working Station Enquiry Clerks within the Division.
To deal with all enquiries in an efficient, prompt and competent manner, commensurate with the quality of service required by the South Wales Police.
MAIN DUTIES
1.To operate the Divisional Command and Control terminal, updating, creating and closing incidents as and when required and attending to telephone enquiries channelled to the Command and Control terminal. If no Command and Control terminal to carry out typing work for Division.
2.To cover absence of shift working Station Enquiry Clerks within the Division.
3.Attend to enquiries made by persons attending the station, or by telephone
enquiry, namely:-
a)Accurate recording of monitoring documents in response to production
requests and, if necessary, subsequent reporting of offender for relevant offences.
b)Attend court to give evidence in relation to production of motoring
documents.
c)Handle and record lost/found property received at station and maintain binning system.
d)Attend to stray animals brought into the station.
e)Inform Police Officers, witnesses and defendants of court warnings and messages.
f)Issue data protection forms.
g)Complete crime reports accurately.
h)Maintain bail reports.
i)Assist personnel in obtaining previous convictions via PNC
j)Update Command and Control regarding wanted/missing persons and update P.N.C. Bureau.
k)Accurate maintenance and completion of station records and associated paperwork in connection with all of the above.
