The safe, effective care and control of prisoners in Police Custody, and their visitors, is vital to Hertfordshire Constabulary. Supporting the Custody Sergeant and Detention and Escort Officers in the new Custody Suite at Hatfield Police Station, you will be involved in all aspects of prisoner care, including the maintenance of custody facilities, security, record keeping and other associated duties.
It is a team environment, calling for flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing demands and circumstances. If you are confident, a good communicator and able to deal with a variety of individuals and situations as well as the physical nature of the work, then we’d like to hear from you. Attention to detail and proven administrative ability is needed and PC skills will be an advantage.
The role involves shift working which will include nights and weekends.
