Technical Support Unit (TSU) Manager
Based in South Wigston, Leicester
£26,154 - £32,553, 37 hours per week
To manage the technical surveillance function of the Force by providing advice and an efficient, effective, technical support service to include the maintenance of equipment.
It is essential that applicants:
-Hold HND or equivalent qualification in electronic/communications;
-Are able to demonstrate proven experience in management skills and abilities including the preparation and presentation of management reports;
-Are able to demonstrate experience of managing financial budgets;
-Are able to demonstrate the ability to effectively lead and manage a team of people;
-Are able to demonstrate sound practical experience of working in an electronics/surveillance environment;
-Have previously worked in an environment where confidentiality has been essential;
-Are able to demonstrate effective oral communication skills when conveying information of a technical nature to people with little or no knowledge;
-Demonstrate sound written communication skills;
-Are able to demonstrate effective problem solving skills;
-Are able to demonstrate strong organisational skills;
-Have a sound understanding of computer technology and its application;
-Hold a full manual car driving licence;
Are flexible and responsible in approach, in order to perform the role effectively.
