An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a team of systems administrators working at the heart of a busy IT department. The team are responsible for the entire Windows infrastructure (400 servers & 4000 workstations) and a number of key business applications.
To become a member of the team it is essential that you have experience of supporting a large IT infrastructure using an enterprise management tool, preferably LANDesk. You will also have experience of software packaging preferably WISE Packaging Studio and VBS scripting.
It is likely that you will have previous experience of working with some of the following: Wintel servers, Active Directory, Operating system imaging, Anti Virus Enterprise Management, MS Exchange 2003/8, DHCP, DNS, Citrix, Email archiving technologies. We offer effective training and support to develop you and give you an opportunity to create an exciting career within the IT department.
You will be based at Police Headquarters in Chelmsford, but may be required to travel Countywide.
You will be required to participate in a 'stand-by' rota system outside normal working hours, weekends and Bank Holidays and you must have use of a vehicle that you may need to use on occasions, for which the appropriate allowances will be paid.
