PURPOSE OF JOB

To gather analysis and interpret data from Force Areas and external sources.

To provide high quality analytical products including those stipulated by the National Intelligence Model (NIM).

To assist Football Banning Order Officers to the collection, receipt, dissemination and evaluation of information relating to Football Banning Orders.

To develop high quality target profiles with regards to case file submissions for the purposes on complaint, civil action, section 14(b) Football Banning Order applications.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- To collate intelligence and compile target packages and proposals for consideration by the Force Football Banning Order Officer concerning cross border activity of risk Football hooligan targets.

- To play a full part as a member of the Football Banning Order Team in proactively establishing and improving networks and systems to enhance the quality of intelligence generated on Area.

- To assist in the coordination and collection, receipts of football related crime information in various formats from within the force, other police forces and external agencies and to keep accurate records of information received and disseminated for the purpose of gaining FBO's, in particular S14B Orders

- Collate, interpret and analyse information from various sources for input into the four key intelligence products at Level 2. This will include the provision of high quality reports and products upon analytical findings.

- Develop target profiles of suspected active risk football hooligans and direct officers in intelligence gathering to assist in the development of intelligence and/or the investigation of crime.

- Prepare and deliver findings in a written form by way of presentations (formal/informal) to be delivered to various levels of personnel

- Apply and develop the nine analytical disciplines/techniques in accordance with the National Intelligence Model (NIM).

- Develop and maintain analytical skills plus awareness of relevant developments in intelligence analysis (including software) and law enforcement.

Training will be offered for use of computer systems within the Intelligence Department.
