Criminal Justice Investigator
An opportunity to join the Divisional Criminal Justice Investigation Unit in Swindon has arisen. Successful applicants will be dealing with the interview and process of persons arrested for Criminal and Summary offences, the recording of statements and corresponding file preparation. The postholder, whilst primarily based at Swindon Gablecross may be required to travel around the county from time to time taking statements and will be required to work a shift system averaging 37 hours per week, covering the hours of 0700-midnight including weekends.
Interview skills as well as an enquiring mind, a methodical approach to work and the ability to work to deadlines are essential, as are excellent interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in an investigative role and a good understanding of law surrounding traffic and criminal matters, together with some knowledge of the judicial system is preferable.
