c£90k package • 3 year contract

To help us realise our ambitions we are seeking a talented individual to join the Falkland Islands Government’s Corporate Management Team. In this pivotal position you will take strategic responsibility for Community Safety Services (Police, Fire, Customs and Defence Force) and be Chief Police Officer. You will need to hit the ground running on a number of
priorities including an improvement programme for the Police Service, leading the development of the Islands’ Emergency Planning arrangements and planning effective security provision to support off shore oil and gas development.
A serving or recent Senior Police Officer (Superintendent or above), you will bring a proven track record of credible leadership, service improvement, an understanding of ‘community’ and a joint working approach. You will also bring experience at command-level of inter-service emergency planning and response.
