PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide strategic management support to Chief Officers and Chief Executives of the Northamptonshire Criminal Justice Board to enable it to deliver on it's objectives: under the Public Service Agreements and resulting from national, regional and local priorities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To work at a strategic level with the LCJB Chair, Chief Officers/Executives and Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) to produce the annual LCJB Business Plan in line with Government, local and national strategies/targets.
• To coordinate the implementation of the programme of work associated with the LCJB Business Plan.
• To brief the LCJB Chair, SROs and Chief Officers/Executives on current developments relating to CJS business and risk.
• To lead on strategic partnership development by liaising and working with other agencies, stakeholders and partners at a senior level including the LAA and CDRPs with a view to building collective approaches to shared agendas and implementing joint solutions to achieve common outcomes.
• To represent the LCJB Chair/Chief Officers and Executives when required at local or national forums.
• Ensuring that projects identified within the LCJB are completed with due regard to effective risk management processes and that they have achieved agreed outputs.
• Identifying appropriate funding opportunities and publicising them to appropriate agencies, giving support and advice on construction and content on bids where necessary.
• Directly line manage LCJB support roles: communication, performance and administrative staff, seconded project managers for LCJB projects and any other post as agreed.
• Manage and control expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits within agreed budgets
• To act in ways which respect people's expressed beliefs and views and acknowledge the benefits of diversity.
• Undertake other duties commensurate with this post.
