An opportunity to join Wiltshire Police in a support role has arisen for a part time Detention Officer.
Working alongside Police Officers and Police Staff, the main duties are the provision of custodial, administrative and ‘detained person’ welfare duties, in accordance with legislation and Force Policy to ensure the efficient operation of the Custody Unit.
To perform these roles you will need excellent communication and problem solving skills, together with good administration and IT skills and be able to work with minimum supervision. Experience of work in a similar nature would also be a distinct advantage but training will be provided in the more technical aspects of the role.
The intended rota for this post is as follows:
Week one: Friday & Saturday: 23.00 – 07.00
Week two: Saturday & Sunday: 07.00 – 15.00
