£15,966 per annum rising to £16,878 per annum in two annual increments
A vacancy has arisen for a Film Reader working within the Safety Camera Unit, based in Devizes on the Hopton Industrial Estate who will report to the Viewing Unit Supervisor. The purpose of the Viewing Unit is to examine film/video images in order to identify offending vehicles. In this role you will provide administrative support to the safety camera enforcement procedure. Duties will include downloading offence data, undertaking PNC enquiries, initiating process and warnings and attending court as a prosecution witness.
The post holder will undertake correspondence and telephone enquiries, preparation of reports, court duties and decision making in respect of court process together with enquiries from personal callers and alleged offenders who wish to view the film evidence.
Applicants should have good keyboard skills, an understanding of Data Protection Act and their responsibilities under Health & Safety Act and have an awareness of equality and diversity issues together with good oral and written communication skills. Previous experience of working in an office environment would be an advantage.
