You will support the development and effective implementation of strategies, which are consistent with local and national objectives, maintaining regular contact with all sectors of the local community including hard to reach community groups. Providing help, advice and assistance to GMP police officers and police staff on issues concerning local community and race relations and actively consult with local communities, developing lines of communication that facilitate productive partnerships and confidence.
With experience of community development work and an understanding of the cultures of ethnic minority communities, you will have keyboard skills, administrative experience and knowledge of computer applications. The ability to devise and deliver training on ethnic minority issues is also essential to the role.* Shortlisted applicants will need to give a short presentation prior to interview.
