G4S Police Recruit are seeking a traffic control room supervisor.
The successful candidate is responsible for the collection and dissemination of information to motorists and others regarding traffic incidents, roadworks, major events, delays and congestion on the motorways and major trunk roads in North Wales. The aim is to minimise delays, provide accurate and timely information, and to improve safety for all road users. You will be one of two Supervisors leading a team of operators in the control room.
The control room interacts by telephone and radio-phone with the general public, clients, police and other control centres. Some of the systems used involve CCTV, electronic variable message signs, matrix signs the website, and text messaging. Radio broadcasts are also undertaken live from the control room.
The control room operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, and provides a pleasant and comfortable working environment.
