The Forensic Investigation Unit search for, and produce scientific evidence to aid the investigation of crime. The Fingerprint Development Department is part of the Forensic Investigation Unit and delivers the highest standard of service in the treatment and enhancement of fingerprints and other marks and subsequent recording of evidence by photographic means.

We would like to hear from anyone with the confidence and professional attitude necessary to recover critical evidence from serious crimes using specialist and advanced techniques and technology. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with good communication skills to join our busy team. You will be able to perform well under pressure and display pride in your work when faced with complex and meticulous tasks.

With a Science based HND or City & Guilds in Photography or equivalent, you will have knowledge of a laboratory based environment. Previous experience in a Police Laboratory or a FERRT qualification would be advantageous. A driving licence is essential.
