FULL TIME DOMESTIC ABUSE UNIT CLERK/TYPIST
SHREWSBURY POLICE STATION
GRADE WM 2/3 Salary £13,473 rising in annual increments to £15,996/£16,347
37 hours a week Monday to Friday
A vacancy exists for a Domestic Abuse Unit Clerk/Typist to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Domestic Abuse Unit.
The successful candidate must have:-
-General education to GCSE level (including English Language) or appropriate NVQ level or equivalent
-RSA Word/Text Processing Stage 2
-Competent in the use of IT including -Microsoft packages or equivalent
-Good organisational skills
-The ability to cope with the demands of dealing with work which can be distressing in nature
-Absolute discretion
-Excellent interpersonal skills in order to deal with internal and external members of staff working in a multi-agency environment
-Proven ability to manage time and prioritise workloads.
It is also desirable that the successful candidate should have the ability to take and produce meeting minutes, and knowledge of Criminal and Civil Law.
Due to the nature of the work the post holder will have access to external counselling.
