Job Description : A key objective within the Procurement Strategy is the delivery of best value for goods and services throughout Cambridgeshire Constabulary. To assist in this delivery a Contracts Officer is required to support one of the two Procurement Managers.
This post will focus on building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal customers, and researching and developing alternative procurement arrangements. Key responsibilities will include drafting tender documentation and administration of the tendering process for both EU and non-EU contracts for a wide range of goods and services to support 'front-line' policing.
To succeed in this challenging role, you should have at least three years relevant experience and be qualified to CIPS Foundation Level or willingness to work towards it. However if you have already achieved the CIPS Foundatin Level your starting salray will be £21342.
Knowledge and experience in operating a computerised purchase order system would be a distinct advantage. You should also possess a full current driving licence.
