Working as part of a team, you will have responsibility for the creation of thematic or geographic intelligence collection plans. Maintaining a level of specialist knowledge within specific themed areas that pose a threat to national security, you will produce accurate research summaries utilising all available intelligence in order to provide direction and focus for the region.
Having an awareness of relevant legislation and ensuring compliance with the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA), European Convention of Human Rights (ECHR), Data Protection Act and Criminal Procedures and Investigation Act, you will have knowledge of the workings of the National Intelligence Model and Force operational procedures in relation to the obtaining of information and intelligence. With a good general standard of education, you will produce accurate and concise reports and recommendations based on findings. Capable of carrying out tasks relevant to the post including checking, recording, inputting and retrieving information, you will have keyboard experience and knowledge of computer software applications, including the creation of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
