Details:
Essential Skills/Experience
-Coordinate and collate burglary dwelling offence reports.
-Oversee vehicle crime offences to identify priority offender or crime series to be investigated.
-Quality initial scene investigations and the diddemination of best practice.
-Analyse and develop offence pattern and information and intelligence on the Police Area.
-Provide liason and briefing for Area Intelliigence Team (AIT), uniform shifts, CID, SOCA etc.
-Assist with telephone enquiries, as and when appropriate.
-Provide any other duties of a similar nature as directed by the D/Sgt, commensurate with the grading of the post.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
-Ability to work with minimum supervision, self motivated and working on own initiative.
-Experience of prioritising work and meeting deadlines.
-Excellent organisational skills.
-Excellent commmunication skills, both verbal and written.
-Previous experience of carrying out presentations verbal and written.
-Previous experience in research, analysis and statistical methods.
-Good knowledge of relevant legislation such as Human Rigts, Equal opportunities.
-Good knowledge of the working practices of Law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
-Good general standars of education.
-IT literate including MW, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn other related software packages, including databases.
-Ability to direct, plan and evaluate activity to meet daily and organisational goals.
-Knowlege of TVP systems i.e. CEDAR,C&C, PNC
