Survive the Credit Crunch with GJBB & PMAS
We cannot escape the reality of the economic difficulties which we all face over the coming months and years following the near global collapse of the banking and finance system. It is widely accepted that the public sector will bear the brunt of government cuts for up to 10 years as the country emerges from recession.
The GJBB cares passionately that you receive the best pay and conditions of service, but we are also here to protect and support you through these troubled times. We care deeply that you receive high quality guidance to assist you in making decisions in your personal life. This is especially important in allowing you to face the future, not in hope but with understanding and practical knowledge of your own household ‘economy’ and your ability to make the best of life for you and your family members.
In partnership with Police Mutual, the GJBB has developed “Surviving the credit crunch” presentations which will run in October 2009. Each of the sessions, facilitated by Police Mutual, will last for around 2 hours and are open to all federated members and their families. The inputs are primarily aimed at those in early to mid-service (more than 10 years to retirement) and can be attended during duty time. Light refreshments will be available.
Police Mutual also facilitate our Pre-Retirement courses which receive highly positive feedback for their positive effect on our colleagues lifestyles and economic position. Many of those same important subjects appear in these presentations.
